Dog Days at Double Lake
Dog Days at Double Lake
the work and organization. I don't know how you had time to carve all
those doggy stamps you put out at the pavilion and gather up the great
boxes that you placed out on the Lone Star Trail. We went out Monday
and found them all. We were all alone in the park and it was a very
relaxing time for us after a hectic weekend. I know you had helpers,
like MO5 and her LSS (thanks for the great hot dogs), as well as your
LSS, who seemed to be everywhere helping out. I think it's great that
they support your letterboxing activities like they do.

Re: [gulfcoastletterboxers] Dog Days at Double Lake
I had an absolute blast. And those cinnamon rolls were delicious!
Boots and LSQ--I thought you might save those boxes and find them all a little at a time. But, nope, you guys were like the kids who couldn't stop until they'd eaten all their Halloween candy! But of course, letterboxing is much better for you than a pumpkin full of candy.
I can't wait to come back up and find some more boxes myself. Thanks to everyone who braved the rain and joined in the fun!

trail was a stress release for us, very relaxing, and all those boxes
were so beautiful. You're right, we couldn't just get one, we had to
get them all. Thanks for all you do for letterboxing, dewberry. If
anyone ever needs for us to check on a box for you, just let us
know. By the way, we moved LSQ's "The Hound's Tree" box. It was
right across from the big picnic area and we moved it to a more
remote spot, so reprint the clues if you come up this way. All of
you know where we live now, so if you're back in this area, you're
always welcome at the Red Barn.

Re: Dog Days at Double Lake
crash your party. I can't begin to tell you what a treat it is to
hike in those beautiful woods and share the comaraderie with such
wonderful letterboxers. The boxes hidden around the lake were
amazing. It was just a wonderful, wonderful event and we had such a
good time. After the day was done, Viewfinder and I drove around to
the other side of the lake and enjoyed a wonderful walk around the
lake. It was a perfect ending to a wonderful event. THANK YOU,
Dewberry, LSQ, and Boots, and also everyone who came. Puddle Splasher
